چکیده

In the valley of Surkhob River, manifestations modern geological processes, characterized by various forms manifestation, are widely developed. Studying these processes is utmost importance, primarily landslides, which directly related to loss stability rocks on slopes. Landslide in River valley, regardless their type, cause significant economic damage population and economy, as well negatively impacting human living conditions. The primary goal this project map landslide susceptibility using a geographic information system quantitative semi-quantitative methods. assessment research was conducted slope (degree), aspect slope, curvature, stream power index, topographic wetness precipitation altitude. Except for precipitation, collected from world climate site, most causal elements were derived DEM SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) database, with cell sizes 30 m. 416 landslides discovered satellite pictures Google Earth Pro then validated field analyses link between causative factors inventory. To measure weights each element, frequency ratio (FR) analytical hierarchy process (AHP) used. quality determined Receiver Operating Characteristics curve (ROC), AUC value be 0.877. It possible use an engineering basis establishing national development plan territory valley.

A GIS-based comparative study of the analytic hierarchy process, bivariate statistics and frequency ratio methods for landslide susceptibility mapping in part of the Tehran metropolis, Iran

The high hillsides of the Tehran metropolis are prone to landslides due to the climatic conditions and the geological, geomorphologicalcharacteristics of the region. Therefore, it is vitally important that a landslide susceptibility map of the region be prepared. For thispurpose, thematic layers including landslide inventory, lithology, slope, aspect, curvature, distance to stream, distance to ...

Probabilistic frequency ratio (PFR) model for quality improvement of landslide susceptibility mapping from LiDAR-derived DEMs

This paper expands the previous efforts by other researchers to present a quantitative and deterministic approach for terrain analysis. This study evaluates both spatial and temporal factors contributing landslides utilizing Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) point clouds in conjunction with the frequency ratio model (PFR) than has previously been used in the Alborz Mountains. The study area i...
